SITE DIRECTOR (PT)

The YMCA of Downtown Manchester is looking for a part time Site Director for the START after school program.

The successful candidate will have the capacity to engage and interact with children in a nurturing manner, the ability to create and facilitate daily lessons, and will exhibit a desire to work as part of a team. Must be organized and have good time management skills. Must have reliable transportation or a means to get to place of employment daily and on time. Will train under current site directors to prepare for the 2014-2015 school year. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Site Director qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or GED and have at least one of the following:

A bachelor's degree in Elementary EDU or Recreation or Associates Degree in Early Childhood EDU or certified Recreation Director and 1000 hours working in a supervised childcare program or 12 credits in elementary education, human growth and development, recreation, behavior management or early childhood education plus 1000 hours or certification as NH Educator or 2000 hours plus one of the following: 3 credits in EDU, ECE, Human Growth & Development, Recreation, and a plan to complete 3 more credits.

Salary Range is $10 - $12 per hour.

SYNCHRONIZED SWIM COACH (PT)

Seeking a part time synchronized swim coach to work wtih all levels of child and adult swimmers including beginners, novice, intermediate, age group, and Masters. Background as a competitive synchronized swim coach or swimmer is required. Experience choreographing routines or a willingness to learn is preferred.

STUDENT ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST/TEEN CENTER COORDINATOR

The YMCA's Teen Center is an after school drop-in facility provided free of charge to youth in grades 6-11 in the downtown Manchester area. The Teen Center Coordinator is responsible for planning age appropriate daily activities. They will serve as a mentor for a portfolio of at-risk students and act as a positive role model and mentor for teens.

The Coordinator will develop and implement a plan to add daily programming and create a plan for outreach to grow Teen Center participation. Creating relationships and resources within the community will be a priority. Coordinator will track daily participation and submit data quarterly. They will serve alongside and recruit volunteers for various projects. In addition, the Coordinator is responsible for planning and facilitating weekly meetings with a middle school leader's club. Regular communication with parents and collaboration with other YMCA personnel will be required.

The Teen Center Coordinator position requires a bachelor's degree in education, psychology, sociology, counseling, or related field. Previous experience with youth development is also required. Commitment to working with the middle-high school age group and at-risk youth is critical. Capacity to function independently in a community setting and build strong relationships with teens, parents, and various YMCA personnel is essential. Comfort tutoring in all academic subjects (up to eighth grade) is fundamental.

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR (FT)

The YMCA of Downtown Manchester is currently seeking a Membership Director to oversee the day to day operations of a busy Welcome Center. This is a full-time, salary exempt position.

Requirements include a solid understanding of budget management, sales training and goal setting, personnel management and staff training, along with the ability to multi-task, manage and delegate a variety of customer initiatives provided by the Association Membership Director. This position will also provide direct service to members as part of the Welcome Center staff team.

The preferred candidate will have an Associate's Degree in communications, business or recreation management or will have three years of customer service and sales management experience. Solid communication and supervisory skills, and a passion for working with people from all walks of life are essential to this position.

Salary range is $33,000 - $38,000

KID ZONE STAFF (PT)

Do you love children? We have immediate openings for energetic, safety-minded individuals dedicated to the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility to provide care for children ages 6 weeks to 9 years in our Kid Zone area. You will engage a wide variety of youth in fun, educational, and stimulating activities.

Kid Zone is a free child care program for parents while they are working out at the Y for up to two hours a day. Various part time shifts are available Monday to Friday evenings 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm; Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and Sundays from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

Experience in supervising groups of children preferred. CPR/First Aid cerification preferred. Salary is $8 to $9 per hour.

LIFEGUARDS/SWIM INSTRUCTORS (SEASONAL)

WELLNESS COACH/PERSONAL TRAINERS

Seeking experienced personal trainer/wellness coach at the YMCA of the Seacoast for off-site programming at our Work at Wellness Corporate locations. Candidate under the guidance and supervision of the Healthy Living Director is responsible for guiding members through personal consultations and orientations in the Fitness Center. The goal in fitness is to assist members in making a healthy lifestyle changes and to build self-esteem. The role of the personal trainer/wellness coach is to assist members through this process by providing positive attention, support and motivation. Personal Training and CPR/AED certification required.

Hours are Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, other hours TBD.

This is a part time position with a generous benefit package. Salary range is $8.50 - $14 per hour dependent on education, certification and experience.
