The YMCA of Downtown Manchester is looking for part time group leaders for the 2014-2015 school year. We are seeking energetic and creative invididuals to assist with providing a high quality before and after school child care program for youth grades K-5. Your role will include facilitating small and large group activities, modeling and reinforcing our character traits - caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility throughout the program as well as provide a safe environment for all the children.

TEEN CENTER ASSISTANT (PT)

Under the direct supervision of the Teen Center Coordinator, the teen center assistant is responsible for the supervision of teens in the after school drop-in teen center three afternoons per week. The teen center assistant is responsible for engaging students in activities in other parts of the YMCA including the gym, pool, and fitness area. May also serve as a bus monitor daily, taking attendance and assisting the driver with any issues that may arise. Teen center assistant will plan and execute creative programming and recreational activities.

Qualifications: Experience working with teens in a recreational environment; Commitment to working with the middle school-high school age group and at risk youth is critical; Capacity to plan and function independently in a group setting and build strong relationships with teens and families; Must have the ability to work with a variety of youth  and diverse populations; Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Salary range is $8.50 - $10 per hour.

YMCA ALLARD CENTER OF GOFFSTOWN

PERSONAL TRAINER/WELLNESS COACH (PT)

Currently seeking a motivated individual to conduct member orientations, assist members with safe equipment operations, lead small group classes in introduction to exercise, and assist with running member activities and programs.

Exercise Science or related degree or nationally recognized certification such as ACE, ACSM, CSCS, or AFFA required.

Salary range: $8 to $12 per hour

GROUP EXERCISE/YOGA INSTRUCTORS (PT)

Currently seeking certified group exercise instructors to teach cycling on Wednesday mornings from 8:30 to 9:30 am and Yoga instructors for Monday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Group Exercise and Yoga instructors at the Y will lead classes for all ability levels, while demonstrating the Y values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Must have nationally recognized group exercise certification or YMCA group exercise certification and prior experience leading groups of diverse levels in a safe and appropriate exercise. CPR certification preferred.

Salary range: $12 to $20 per class depending on certification level and experience.

GYMNASTICS INSTRUCTOR (PT)

Seeking energetic and enthusiastic individual to work with preschool, progressive and competitive gymnastics classes from ages 6 months to adult. Will be developing relationships with members, staff and students. Flexibility is required as days and times of instruction will vary.

Requirements include a minimum of three years or more coaching preschool and progressive gymnastics. Some competitive women's gymnastics experience is helpful. Familiarity with compulsory and optional gymnastics coaching, as well as knowledge in recreational and preschool gymnastics is desired.

Salary range: $10 to $13/hr

LIFEGUARDS/SWIM INSTRUCTORS (PT)

Currently seeking Certified Lifeguards and Swim instructors for a year round indoor position beginning in September. We are looking for opening shifts, closing shifts, and weekends.

Lifeguard indoor pool hours - Monday - Friday shifts are available 5:30 am - 9:30 pm. Weekend shifts are 7:30 am - 7:30 pm.

Current certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR/AED, Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR/AED required. Experience preferred.

Salary range is $8.00-$10.00/hr. Expected start date is September 8, 2014.

ASSISTANT SWIM COACH (PT)

Seeking an energetic and positive individual who enjoys working with swimmers ages 6-18 years old of varying abilities. Will provide a safe and fun environment along with structure and leadership for swimmers. Must be able to provide corrective feedback and positive reinforcement to all swimmers.

Requirements: Available Monday-Friday from 4:00 - 7:30 pm and some weekends. Hours will vary within that time frame; 5 years of competitive swimming experience or coaching experience; have or be willing to obtain within 60 days both CPR and First Aid certification; Lifeguarding or safety training for swim coaches, Foundation of Competitive Swimming 101, YMCA Principles of competitive swimming and diving.

Salary range is $9.00 - $10.00/hr depending on experience.

Your role include facilitating small and large group activities, modeling and reinforcing our character traits - caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility throughout the program as well as provide a safe environment for all the children. You are also responsible for curriculum, snack calendars, management of other staff at site and parent communication.

Site Director qualifications: must meet State of NH Child Care Licensing requirements which include: Have a high school diploma or GED and have at least one of the following: A bachelor's degree in Elementary EDU or Recreation or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood EDU or certified Recreation Director and 1000 hours working in a supervised child care program or 12 credits in elementary education, human growth and development, recreation, behavior management or early childlhood education plus 1000 hours or certification as NH Educator or 2000 hours plus one of the following: 3 credits in EDU, ECE, Human Growth and Development, Recreation, and a plan to complete 3 more credits.

SPORTS COACH (PT)

Seeking experienced sports coach at the YMCA of the Seacoast for off-site programming at our local Portsmouth Elementary School locations. Candidates under the guidance and supervision of the Sports and Family Director are responsible for teaching sports and enrichment classes to school age level participants. The goal in our program is to assist students in making healthy lifestyle changes, to build self-esteem and have fun. Experience and CPR/AED certification preferred.

LEAD YOUNGER PRESCHOOL TEACHER (FT)

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our teaching team at the Child Development Center of the YMCA of Strafford County. Your role will including leading the facilitation of developmentally appropriate educational experiences within our young toddler classroom. Must have experience and a passion for teaching children ages 2-3 years. Promising candidates for this position will model and reinforce our character traits, caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in addition to the ability to nurture and grow young children while engaging families on a daily basis here at our center.

Must meet state of NH licensing requirements including, have a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma, a minimum of 1000 hours of experience working with children in a licensed child care program, and a minimum of 18 early childhood education credits, including a least one 3 credit course in child growth and development, from a regionally accredited college. This position does not require a college degree.

This is a full time position with a generous benefit package. Salary range is $10 - $12 per hour.
