WELLNESS COACH (PT)

Currently seeking a motivated individual to conduct member orientations, assist members with safe equipment operations, lead small group classes in introduction to exercise, and assist with running member activities and programs.

KID ZONE STAFF (PT)

Do you love children? We have immediate openings for energectic, safety-minded individuals dedicated to the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility to provide care for children ages 6 weeks to 9 years in our Kid Zone. You will engage a wide variety of youth in fun, educational, and stimulating activities. Kid Zone is a free child care program for parents while they are working out at the Y for up to 2 hours a day.

Various part time shifts are available throughout the week and on weekends. Experience in supervising groups of children; CPR/First Aid preferred.

Salary range: $7.50 to $9.00 per hour

GROUP EXERCISE/YOGA INSTRUCTORS (PT)

Currently seeking certified group exercise instructors to teach cycling on Wednesday mornings from 8:30 to 9:30 am and yoga instructors for Monday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Group exercise and yoga instructors at the Y will lead classes for all ability levels, while demonstrating the Y values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Must have nationally recognized group exercise certification or YMCA group exercise instructor certification. Yoga instructors must have proper certification. Prior experience leading groups of diverse levels in a safe and appropriate exercise preferred. CPR certification preferred.

Salary range: $12 to $20 per class depending on certification level and experience.

GYMNASTICS INSTRUCTOR (PT)

Seeking energetic and enthusiastic individual to work with preschool, progressive and competitive gymnastics classes from ages 6 months to adult. Will be developing relationships with members, staff and students. Flexibility is required as days and times of instruction will vary.

Requirements include a minimum of three years or more coaching preschool and progressive gymnastics. Some competitive women's gymnastics experience is helpful. Familiarity with compulsory and optional gymnastics coaching, as well as knowledge in recreational and preschool gymnastics is desired.

Salary range: $10 to $13/hr

SITE DIRECTORS (PT)

The YMCA Allard Center is looking for part time Site Directors for our Bartlett, Maple Avenue, and Mountain View Middle School's Out Program for the 2014-2015 school year. We are seeking energetic and creative individuals to provide a high quality before and after school child care program for youth grades K-5.

Your role include facilitating small and large group activities, modeling and reinforcing our character traits - caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility throughout the program as well as provide a safe environment for all the children. You are also responsible for curriculum, snack calendars, management of other staff at site and parent communication.

Site Director qualifications: must meet State of NH Child Care Licensing requirements which include: Have a high school diploma or GED and have at least one of the following: A bachelor's degree in Elementary EDU or Recreation or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood EDU or certified Recreation Director and 1000 hours working in a supervised child care program or 12 credits in elementary education, human growth and development, recreation, behavior management or early childhood education plus 1000 hours or certification as NH Educator or 2000 hours plus one of the following: 3 credits in EDU, ECE, Human Growth and Development, Recreation, and a plan to complete 3 more credits.

AM hours are Monday - Friday 6:45 am - 8:15 am (Bartlett and Maple Avenue only)
PM hours are Monday - Friday 2:15 pm - 6:00 pm

WELCOME CENTER SHIFT SUPERVISOR (FT)

Seeking a positive, friendly person with strong computer, communication, and multi-tasking skills to assist the Director with management of the Welcome Center. The individual will educate members and potential members about programs and classes, process registrations, give tours, and ensure that members have a positive experience. The shift supervisor will also assist with hiring, training, and scheduling of Welcome Center staff.

This is a full time 40 hours per week position. The shift will include 3 weekdays (closing shift) plus Saturday and Sunday.

Salary range is $10 - $12 per hour based on experience.

LIFEGUARDS (PT)

PERSONAL TRAINER (PT)

Seeking experienced personal trainer at the YMCA of the Seacoast for off-site programming at our Work at Wellness Corporate locations. Candidate under the guidance and supervision of the Healthy Living Director, is responsible for providing individual and custom wellness plans for members who participate in personal training programming. They are also responsible for leading the client through every aspect of each session. The goal in fitness is to assist members in making healthy lifestyle changes and to build self-esteem. The role of the Personal Trainer is to assist members through this process by providing individual and specific attention, support, and motivation. The candidate should be comfortable in advising personal training in the appropriate situation without being too aggressive.

Personal Training and CPR/AED certification required.

Hours are Tuesday and Thursdays 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, other hours TBD.

Salary range is $8.50 - $14 per hour (dependent on education, certification and experience)

MARTIAL ARTS/SELF DEFENSE INSTRUCTOR (PT)

Seeking experienced martial arts instructor at the YMCA of the Seacoast for a self defense class. Candidate, under the guidance and supervision of the Healthy Living Director, is responsible for providing a class that will teach the basics of self defense, including drills and scenarios on how to escape or defend one's self in a threatening situation and techniques for punching, kicking and blocking. The candidate should also be able to provide mental strategies for overcoming fear and instilling self confidence with participants.

Class times are: Fridays 6:00 to 7:00 pm

Salary Range: $15.00 to $20.00/hour

ASSOCIATE TEACHER (PT)

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our teaching team at the Child Development Center of the YMCA of Strafford County. Your role will including leading the facilitation of developmentally appropriate educational experiences within our Preschool. Must have experience and a passion for teaching children ages 6 weeks - 5 years. Promising candidates for this position will model and reinforce our character traits, caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in addition to the ability to nurture and grow young children while engaging families on a daily basis here at our center.

Must meet state of NH licensing requirements for an Associate Teacher by NH State Licensing which include, a high school diploma, and contain 9 early childhood credits, with at least one in child and growth development from an accredited college, or have a minimum of 1500 hours of experience working with children in a licensed child care program, public or private school. A college degree is not required for this position.

Salary range is $8.00 - $10.00 per hour.
